After a heartbreaking elimination in the Apertura 2012 semifinals against Toluca, Club America is ready to move on and begin thinking about the next season. Rumors had it that coach Miguel Herrera would be fired, however, it now seems he will stay in ‘coapa’ as he will renew his contract. However, the Club America website made an announcement that 9 players are not in their plans for the following season. The two players that stand out are center midfielder Rosinei Adolfo, and team captain Daniel Montenegro. This is a big step for America because they will open two foreign player spaces meaning there will be a big offseason signing. It is also strongly rumored that Ecuadorian striker, Narciso Mina, is close to signing and that star Christian Benitez could leave to Europe in the winter transfer period.
