The Puebla vs Leon 2012 match will be a great game between two teams looking to recover from tough losses in Week 8. The match will be played on Friday, September 21, 2012 at 8:30 PM EDT at Estadio Cuauhtemoc. Puebla came back and tied Monterrey after a 2-0 deficit only to lose it 3-2 in the end. Leon dominated most of the game against Chivas, but lost due to a very late (and great) free kick. Who will win this Puebla vs Leon match?
After Daniel Guzman joined Pueblas as its new head coach, the camoteros had a mini-run of good results. Puebla got its first win of the season against San Luis, and were able to tie Chivas at the Ominilife. The streak ended in Week 8 (it really was short) when they lost at home against Monterrey. However, Puebla looks greatly improved under Guzman’s coaching, and I dare say it plays better than you would expect from a team that only has five points.
Leon played a good match against Chivas in Nou Camp, and should have by all means won the game. However, to the scorer go the spoils; Chivas was able to resolve the match by scoring two goals in the last 10 minutes of the game. Leon is still an excellent team (third place in the Liga MX standings), and has proven time and again, that as long as Matosas is on the coach’s box, Leon will be a fierce adversary.
Prediction: The Puebla vs Leon 2012 match might seem to give us an easy pick: Leon. However, Daniel Guzman has greatly increased the playing prowess of his squad, and I expect they will put up quite a fight. Leon, of course, is a dangerous opponent who could pull off a win, but I expect the end result with a be an entertaining draw. The score will be Puebla 1 – 1 Leon.
Television: The Puebla vs Leon game will be shown on Fox Deportes and Azteca America, this Friday at 8:30PM EDT.
