Tigres UANL have added a new face to their talented squad. The 31 year old Spaniard, Luis Garcia, who recently played for Zaragoza will add needed strength at the striker position in Tigres. Tigres transfered their longtime goal poacher Hector Mancilla to Atlas and that position was vacant since.

Luis Garcia is a great signing for Tigres because the team led by Tuca Ferreti will improve as it already is one of the better squads in the Liga MX. Ferreti’s offense will be led by Damian Alvarez on the left, Lucas Lobos on the attacking midfield, Elias Hernandez on the right wing, and now Luis Garcia will act as a center forward who also has the ability to play on the wings.

By adding Luis Garcia, the Liga MX will see yet another great summer signing as players like Raul Tamudo, Nery Castillo, Jefferson Montero, Efrain Juarez, Pablo Barrera, and Luis Amaranto Perea amongst others, already signed with other teams. Moreover, this signing shows the direction where the new Liga MX is moving to; great quality players are coming to improve an already strong Mexican league.

Tigres will benefit from Luis Garcia, but rumors suggest they are not done with foreign player additions as they still have one allowed foreign player spot. Nigerian forward Kalu Uche is mentioned to come to Mexico which would nonetheless create the Liga MX into the Premier League of the Americas.

With all the new additions and with more to come, does this put the Liga MX as top 2 in the Americas?
