Celtic boss Rodgers hints at a move for defender

Celtic manager Brendan Rodgers has dropped a hint suggesting that his club will be signing South African defender Rivaldo Coetzee.

Coetzee is a highly rated young prospect and made his debut for the South African national team in 2014 at the age of 17.

He has also impressed the Hoops hierarchy with his ability to play the ball out of defence. As most high profile South African footballers aim to play in Europe, the chances are high that Coetzee will be keen on the move.

He is young and will get better, and will definitely be a good signing for the Scottish giants. When asked about reports that have emerged in South African and Scottish media, Rodgers said, “It’s really about the availability of a player.

“We’ll look to bring in quality if it becomes available. It’s something we have been working towards over the course of the last few weeks.”
