Taufic Guarch to Tigres – leaves Espanyol B

The young Mexican forward, Taufic Guarch, will end his adventure in Spain’s third division and play for Tigres of Monterrey, Mexico. Guarch is currently owned by the newly demoted Tecos, and will play at Tigres on a season long loan. Guarch had a modest showing with Espanyol B, appearing in a handful of matches and scoring only two goals.  Guarch never got settled with the third division side, and he will return to Mexico after spending one year abroad.

Guarch gained modest praise from his participation in the U-20 World Cup hosted in Colombia, where the Mexican side was able to claim the third place spot. He scored only one goal out of five appearances, but his quality of play was high enough to get an offer to play for Espanyol’s third division affiliate. Now Guarch will join the offensive force of Tigres, which needed to be replenished after Hector Mancilla’s departure to Atlas.

It is unlikely that Guarch will be a starting striker for Tigres, as he will face competition from Lucas Lobos and Alan Pulido. However, he will definitely be the main offensive sub, as Tigres is fairly understaffed in the offensive department (at the moment anyways). Hopefully he will gain experience and playing time in Tigres, and be part of the growing offensive firepower that recent Mexican National Team sides have demonstrated.
