Necaxa has a young and talented core led by Brian Fernandez, Marcelo Allende and Victor Davila, who currently leads the league with four goals. The team did not count with Matias Fernandez, in that game against Puebla, but he is set to come back in this clash against Chivas. Necaxa has seven points from its first five games this season and is looking like a team that can battle for a playoff spot.

Pumas UNAM has the better team, the home-field advantage and are the favorites to take the three points from the game. FutnSoccer predicts a 1-0 win for the home team as it should still be very difficult to get past Tiago Volpi in this encounter.
