Liverpool youngster Ryan Kent has left open the possibility to be reunited with Leeds United boss Paul Heckingbottom in the future.
Kent spent last season on loan at Barnsley under Heckingbottom.
He was a key part of the Championship side last season and went on to make 47 appearances in all competitions, scoring three goals.
The wide man enjoyed a good season under Heckingbottom as he was crowned as the young player of the year at Oakwell.
Heckingbottom was widely praised for the way in which he helped Kent shine as a footballer and express himself on the wing.
Should Kent fail to find a way into the Liverpool first-team plans, a reunion with Heckingbottom could well be on the cards.
“Yeah, he was a fantastic manager,” said Kent. “That was probably my biggest season so far in terms of development.
“He really allowed me to go and express myself and I wish him all the best at Leeds.”
