According to reports, Liverpool would prefer to sign West Ham star Manuel Lanzini over Riyadh Mahrez and Wilfried Zaha due to his versatility.
Liverpool have been linked with a summer move for either Mahrez, Zaha or Lanzini as the will seek to find a replacement for Philippe Coutinho during the summer.
Manager Jurgen Klopp is keen to bring the Premier League title to Anfield and he will be aware that his side clearly need to make reinforcements if they wish to do so.
It is likely that Lanzini would be open to leaving the Hammers if a club that can genuinely challenge for trophies and which plays in the Champions League comes knocking on the door.
Lanzini’s versatility is said to appeal to Klopp and makes him a preferred choice over Mahrez and Zaha. The German boss has been impressed by Lanzini’s ability to transition between attack and defence.
