Liverpool’s incoming acquisition criticized by his manager

RB Leipzig star, Naby Keita, is experiencing a significant drop in form this year. He has already signed a deal with Liverpool, but he will join the Merseysiders at the end of the current campaign, as they activated his £48 million release clause last summer.

Great technique and passing abilities combined with excellent vision and tireless runs into the channels make Keita a perfect modern midfielder. The 22-year-old midfielder was brilliant last season in the Bundesliga, which earned him a move to Liverpool.

However, RB Leipzig coach Ralph Hasenhuttl thinks that the Guinea international has failed to provide the same quality as last season, often struggling to keep continuity.

“Naby is not as consistent this year as last year,” Hasenhuttl told Sport Bild. “It’s important that he brings his expectations back to normal levels.

“I’m not one who wants to motivate with fear. I don’t immediately get the whip out in the classic sense and I don’t kick the players non-stop.”

Maybe it’s because he is already thinking of Liverpool, but Keita has to raise his game, as the Reds expect a lot from him. The former RB Salzburg man is going to have an important role in Jurgen Klopp’s system, especially if Emre Can leaves Anfield next summer.
