Ex-Liverpool star hails this Reds star’s contribution

The former Liverpool striker, Robbie Fowler, has hailed Roberto Firmino’s performances in the red shirt, claiming that the player has justified Jurgen Klopp’s trust, that’s according to the Daily Express.

The 26-year-old arrived at Anfield from Hoffenheim as an attacking midfielder, but he has established himself as a striker at his new team. Alongside Mohamed Salah and Sadio Mane, Firmino is part of Klopp’s deadly attacking trident that has scored 38 goals in the Premier League this season.

Fowler has now hailed the former Figueirense star and praised his contribution to Liverpool’s game.

“I didn’t really know much about him if I was totally honest,” said Fowler.

“He’s not a nine or a 10 but he’s a forward. Jurgen gives him the opportunity to roam around in the final third of the pitch and he does, his energy is tremendous and he creates chances and scores goals.”

Although he is not a ‘classic number 9,’ the Brazilian forward is doing a great job up front. He is a constant nightmare for EPL defenses with his mobility and movement of the ball. His excellent performances have forced Daniel Sturridge to leave the Merseyside club this winter.

Fowler’s words can only encourage Firmino ahead of the second half of the season, to continue to play the same way.
