Newcastle United have allowed Henri Saviet to join Turkish club Sivasspor on loan for the remainder of the season.
The 27-year-old arrived at the Magpies under Steve McLaren in January 2016. He has however struggled to make an impact at the club and has gone on to make just four appearances in all competitions this season which clearly suggests that he is not part of the first-team plans of Rafa Benitez.
Saviet is hoping to be part of the Senegal squad that will travel to the 2018 world cup in Russia this summer and a move was clearly what he needed in order to bolster his chances.
He will likely get more game time at his new Turkish club who are currently languishing in eighth position on the Turkish Super Lig standings.
Sivasspor meanwhile have also added former Manchester City and Real Madrid star Robinho to their squad this month.
