Highly-rated South American playmaker reportedly rejects Liverpool move

Anfield

According to the Liverpool Echo, Paris Saint-Germain attacking midfielder, Javier Pastore, has refused a move to Premier League, rejecting Liverpool and Arsenal to complete his transfer to the ranks of Italian giants, Inter Milan.

The same source reports that manager Jurgen Klopp has tried to bring the 28-year-old playmaker on loan until the end of the season to replace the departed Philippe Coutinho and Adam Lallana who is out of form.

However, it seems Luciano Spalletti managed to persuade the former Palermo player to move back to Italy, after falling out of plans in PSG.

Pastore is a technically gifted player, with excellent vision and passing abilities. But, due to the severe competition in PSG’s midfield, he has struggled to find the space.

The Nerrazurri are looking to battle Champions League promotion this season, and Joao Mario is close to moving to West Ham United, which opened the door for Pastore.

On the other hand, Klopp is satisfied with Lallana’s recent performances, and his interest in the Argentine has dropped over the last couple of weeks.
