Newcastle man surprisingly emerges as a target for West Brom

Newcastle United striker Aleksandar Mitrovic has emerged as a target for West Brom.

Mitrovic has struggled to earn regular game time this season and has made just six appearances for the Magpies, all of which have come off the bench.

He will surely be keen to play as regularly as possible during the second half of the season in order to secure his place in the Serbian squad that will travel to the 2018 world cup.

West Brom have been disappointing in attack this season and have so far only scored 19 goals. They surely need to bolster their attack especially considering that relegation is now a serious concern.

The Baggies are reportedly keen to bring in Mitrovic to their squad in order to bolster their options up front.

However whether a deal ends up taking place or not will ultimately come down to whether the club manages to sell Jonny Evans this month in order to raise funds.
