Leicester City boss Claude Puel has said, per The Mirror, that he is confident that Liverpool linked Riyadh Mahrez will stay put at his club this month.
Liverpool and Arsenal have been strongly linked with a move for the Algerian attacker.
Mahrez also did indicate last summer that he is ready for a new challenge and Roma attempted to sign him, however the Italian giants failed to reach an agreement with Leicester over a fee.
Recent reports have suggested that Liverpool could swoop for Mahrez this month, as they view him as a potential replacement for Philippe Coutinho, who joined Barcelona earlier this month.
Earlier this week, Puel slapped a £100 million price tag on Mahrez and he is confident that the player will not be leaving the club.
“He’s enjoying playing for Leicester with his team-mates,” Puel said.
“This is the most important thing – we have this good feeling that the player wants to stay with us.”
“It is important for us to keep a good feeling with our player. My boss – the owner – will decide.”
