As per The Sun, Everton are favourites to land Wolverhampton Wanderers midfielder Owen Otasowie ahead of Juventus, Ajax and Schalke.
The 16-year-old midfield prodigy is yet to make his senior bow for the Championship table-toppers, but has been offered a 3-year professional deal despite only penning a 2-year scholarship deal at the start of the 2017-18 season.
Otasowie is of Nigerian descent and was born in England, but the United States are also keen to have him as he qualifies to represent them through his mother.
The teenager was the only player from an English club invited to train with the United States Under-18s in November.
Everton have made the recruitment of the best young talents in the land top priority of recent, and the versatile Otasowie fits the bill.
The 6 ft 2 in Wolves starlet plays as a box-to-box midfielder, and can also be deployed as a central and attacking midfielder.
The EPL-bound club picked the English kid from Mass Elite Academy and won’t be keen on letting him go easily, but with Everton offering a clear path to the first team, Otasowie could be tempted by that prospect.
