Liverpool reportedly unlikely to make a move for Lemar due to this reason

According to reports, Thomas Lemar is unlikely to move to Liverpool as Jurgen Klopp has branded the £90 million valuation of Monaco on the player as being too high.

The winger’s future at Monaco has been the subject of intense speculation during recent months with the Reds as well as Arsenal said to be chasing him.

Lemar’s reluctance to join Arsenal on deadline day was also the reason as to why the Gunners did not grant Alexis Sanchez his wish of joining Manchester City.

While Arsenal are interested in the youngster, Liverpool are the frontrunners to sign him. However Klopp feels that the price that he will have to pay is too high.

Lemar played a key role for Monaco last season as they went on to win the Ligue 1 title and reach the semi-finals of the Champions League. He has however been unable to replicate his form this term.
