Celtic star reportedly wants to leave due to this reason

Celtic vs Hearts

According to reports, Moussa Dembele wants to leave Celtic this month as he wants to boost his chances of making the France squad that will travel to the 2018 World Cup.

Since joining the Hoops from Fulham 18 months ago, Dembele has been a huge hit and went on to score 32 goals in all competitions last season as Celtic went on to win the domestic treble unbeaten.

His performances have reportedly put him on the radar of a number of Premier League clubs this month, most notably Brighton and Hove Albion.

Dembele now reportedly wants to move away from Parkhead in order to boost his chances of being selected by Didier Dechamps to be part of the France squad that will travel to play in Russia for the 2018 world cup.

“Dembele believes he’s got a very good spot of making the France squad for the World Cup,” Ian McGarry said on the latest episode of The Transfer Window podcast.

“And he thinks if he stays at Celtic his chances will be diminished because after Christmas he’ll be playing in the Europa League and he’ll be playing in what is regarded by many people in Europe as an inferior league.

“And if he moved to the Premier League and banged in a few goals he would very much be on the radar for the World Cup.”
