21-year-old midfielder could reportedly land at Anfield but only under one condition

Anfield

According to the Daily Express, Spain U-21 international Daniel Ceballos could arrive at Liverpool this January only in case Real Madrid sign a suitable replacement. Spanish portal Diario Gol have also announced the same information.

Ceballos arrived at Santiago Bernabeu last summer after amazing performances with Betis and Spain youth selection on last European U-21 Championship.

He was supposed to help Luka Modric, Isco, Toni Kroos, and Casemiro, but unfortunately, he struggled to find his place in the team.

Manager Zinedine Zidane has predominantly used him on cup games and as a substitute. As a result of the lack of playing time, the 21-year-old midfielder is willing to change clubs by seeking regular first-time action.

According to some recent reports, Ceballos has already informed Real’ management and the coach that he wants to go to Liverpool. However, it seems that Zidane is not willing to let Ceballos leave until he finds an adequate replacement.

Jurgen Klopp would gladly welcome Ceballos at Liverpool, as Emre Can will leave Anfield when his contract runs out in six months, and regulars Adam Lallana and Jordan Henderson are both struggling to find their best form.
