Newcastle reportedly close to beating Juventus to signature of 24 goals-in-25 games striker

According to Daily Mail, Newcastle are set to complete a deal for 17-year-old Young Boys striker Yannick Toure in the coming days having earlier scouted him in November.

The Senegal-born Switzerland youth international has been in blistering form for Young Boys youth teams of recent, scoring 24 goals in 25 games for the under-18’s, and 7 goals in 14 games for the under-21’s.

Toure’s prolific goalscoring nature has attracted Arsenal, Juventus and Red Bull Salzburg, but it’s Newcastle that are closer to landing a deal having begun talks with his representatives.

Newcastle will be able to land the6ft 1in Toure for a compensation fee set by FIFA as he is yet to sign a new contract with Young Boy.

The Toons are in need of quality firing power in order to secure their Premier League status at the end of the campaign, but Toure isn’t a signing for the here and now given that he’s yet to make his senior team bow.

However, he could be a great addition to the youth team and a potential first-team star given his obvious talents.
