Chilean Journalist Marks Cardenas has claimed that Liverpool have enquired about the availability of Arsenal star Alexis Sanchez amid reports that he could soon be set for a move to Manchester United rather than Manchester City who have been strongly linked with him.
Sanchez’s future at the Emirates Stadium is the subject of speculation and considering that his current deal with the Gunners will expire at the end of the season, they will either have to sell him this month or else they could risk losing him for free at the end of the season.
It appears that the Manchester clubs are now aiming to sign him. Cardenas has however claimed that Liverpool are also interested.
He said, “Manchester United and Liverpool make contact with Arsenal for Alexis. But is a player’s decision, he wants to play with Pep.”
Liverpool will be looking to sign a new quality attacker after losing Philippe Coutinho to Barcelona.
