Liverpool reportedly looking to bring big-money star in January

Liverpool and RB Leipzig already have an agreement for the transfer of Guinean midfielder Naby Keita.

According to the deal, the 22-year-old player is supposed to arrive at Anfield in the summer of 2018, but manager Jurgen Klopp wants to bring the player early during January transfer window.

The Guardian reports that Leipzig representatives ask for additional £18 million to sanction his move this January.

Liverpool had secured Keita’ services by triggering his £48 million release clause and the only condition of the German club was to keep the player in the team by the end of this season.

However, Klopp currently has great problems after the departure of Philippe Coutinho, as Liverpool are struggling to find a suitable replacement.

Therefore, the former Borussia Dortmund manager is looking to fill the hole by taking the versatile midfielder as soon as possible. We will see if Liverpool would want to meet Leipzig’ demands or they would instead focus on other targets.
