Newcastle reportedly looking to seal deal for 2-time title-winning 28-year-old before weekend

According to the Daily Mail, Newcastle United are looking to wrap up a loan deal to bring Sparta Prague goalkeeper Martin Dubravka to Tyneside before weekend.

The 28-year-old impressed heavily in between the sticks for Slovakia during their World Cup qualifiers, and his performances for Prague have also caught the eyes.

The Toons want another shotstopper having used both Karl Darlow and Rob Elliot this term, and Dubravka represents a feasible and affordable target with a lot of top targets turning the club down.

The former Žilina goalie, who won 2 Slovak Superliga titles and a Super Cup while with the Slovakian outfit, has enough experience and could be a great addition to Newcastle despite being unpopular to fans.

Dubravka has 9 caps for his country and more than 200 club appearances under his belt, and has obviously impressed Magpies’ scouts enough for them to be convinced of his quality.
