High-profile Liverpool man reportedly on the way out from Anfield

Latest news for ESPN suggests that Liverpool are determined to sell Daniel Sturridge in the January transfer window, with many potential bidders asking for his services.

West Ham and Southampton are both very interested in the former Chelsea forward, but The Northern Echo reports that Newcastle United manager Rafael Benitez also appreciate the player, and could try to bring him to St James Park in January.

The 28-year-old forward missed most part of the season due to injuries and with the presence of Sadio Mane, Roberto Firmino, and Mohammed Salah, it would be difficult for him to win his place in starting eleven.

As Aleksandar Mitrovic set to leave St James Park, while Dwight Gayle and Joselu have both failed to impress so far, Newcastle boss Rafa Benitez has to find a quality forward to avoid relegation this year.

Sturridge presumably wants to win his place in England’s World Cup team, so he would probably fancy leaving for regular playing time.
