Everton midfielder Davy Klaassen’s agent has expressed his desire to stay at Everton and fight for his place after being ostracized by manager Sam Allardyce in the recent set of fixtures.
Klaassen joined Everton from Ajax earlier this season amidst much fanfare but the move has not worked well for the Dutchman, who has failed to hit the ground running at Merseyside.
Since the appointment of Allardyce, the situation has gotten even worse for Klaassen as the veteran manager prefers to field the likes of Tom Davies and Gyilfi Sigurdsson rather than the Dutch midfielder.
This lack of first team football had resulted in many to suggest that the Dutch midfielder will be leaving during the January transfer window.
However, Klaassen’s agent has denied these rumors suggesting that the 24-year-old was looking to stay and fight for his place with the Toffees rather than seek a move away.
Speaking to Dutch newspaper AlgemeenDagblad Soren Lerby said: “Of course Davy is not satisfied with his role. But he wants to fight for his chance.”
And when he was asked about the potential of his client leaving the Toffees, he confirmed he had “not heard anything from club management.”
