Celtic attacker on the verge of leaving Celtic Park

Celtic striker Nadir Ciftci has reportedly gone to Tenerife to link up with Motherwell as he nears a loan deal with the Steelman.

Cifti spent the first half of the season on loan with League One club Plymouth Argyle and his poor form saw the loan deal being cut short and the player returned to the Hoops this month.

Motherwell are currently in Tenerife, Spain for warm-weather training during the Premiership’s winter break.

Cifti has never really been part of the first team plans at Celtic and the club should perhaps be looking to offload him at this stage.

The Turkish forward did have a successful spell with Dundee United, for whom he scored 33 times for from 84 appearances but he has never managed to create the same type of form for the Hoops.

The club will be glad that Motherwell are interested in him.
