Newcastle are looking to sign a new goalkeeper this month and one of the keepers who is being linked with them is Kevin Trapp of PSG.
The German has been understudy to Alphonse Areola at PSG this season and has so far only managed two appearances in the Ligue 1 this season.
He will need to play regularly during the second half of the season if he wants to make the German squad for the 2018 World Cup.
Both Rob Elliot and Karl Darlow have been unconvincing in goal this season for the Magpies.
Newcastle have also reportedly considered loan moves for Joe Hart who is currently at West Ham on loan from Manchester City as well as for Real Madrid’s KikoCasilla.
Newcastle’s hopes of signing Trapp may have taken a blow after the keeper stated that he does not wish to leave PSG soon, however with the world cup coming up, he may consider a loan move to increase his game time.
