Everton and Leicester reportedly battling to sign Portuguese star

According to reports, Everton and Leicester are interested in signing out of favour Benfica player Rafa Silva.

Both players could try and sign the player on loan till the end of the season and Benfica could be set to give them an option to buy permanently for a fee of around £26.5 million.

Silva has not performed since he arrived at Benfica during the summer of 2016 for £14.5 million and if the PrimeraLiga club do sell them, it would be a healthy profit for them.

Silva who has been nicknamed as the Portuguese Hazard managed just two goals and four assists during his debut season for the Eagles.

The current season has not gone much better for him as he has managed just one League start.

With his tally unlikely to increase, Benfica will be keen to let go of the expensive flop and hope that another club is interested in signing him.
