According to reports, Liverpool will only sell Philippe Coutinho to Barcelona if Jurgen Klopp’s side meet the asking price and they are also not interested in any swap deal.
Coutinho has been in brilliant form this season and his performances have been a key reason behind Liverpool’s rise to fourth place in the League standings.
Previous reports have indicated that Barcelona could try to offer Liverpool Sergi Roberto, ArdaTuran, Ivan Rakitic or Andre Gomes in a deal to recruit Coutinho.
It has now emerged that Barcelona will only be able to sign Coutinho if they meet the Reds asking price. During the summer, Liverpool demanded a fee of £166 million.
Barcelona did not wish to pay this and instead went after Angel Di Maria of PSG. It now appears that Barcelona will have to cough up a near World record fee to sign Coutinho who was one of their priority targets during the summer.
