According to reports, Celtic could end up selling Moussa Dembele in January amid interest from the likes of West Ham, Everton and Brighton and Hove Albion.

Since arriving from Fulham 18 months ago, the French international has been a hit in Scotland and scored 32 goals for the Hoops last season to help the club win the domestic treble unbeaten.

The youngsters promising form has led to scouts from various clubs keeping tabs on him and it is perhaps just a matter of time before he leaves the Hoops to join a club that plays in an elite League of European football.

Ian McGarry said: “MoussaDembele – I know from information and am convinced Celtic will sell in January if they can.

“The reason for that is Dembele is not the same hot property he was this time last year or indeed six months ago when clubs were offering in excess of £20m and there was a queue.

“I think that’s because the player himself has suffered some minor injuries and his form and goals have tailed off a bit and I think Celtic are making a business decision to market the player in this January window in the hope they can get around the £26-£27m I’m told they are asking for.

“I don’t think there will be any takers at that cost yet.

“There’s certainly interest from lower-half Premier League clubs who a talent like MoussaDembele would be appealing to, West Ham have an interest in him, Everton have an interest in him. And probably some others too.
