This transfer could force Sturridge to stay put at Liverpool

Sturridge

According to reports, Liverpool are willing to send Danny Ings on loan next month, however this will mean that Daniel Sturridge will have to stay put at Anfield and it could all but end whatever hopes the 28-year old has of representing England at the 2018 World Cup.

Ings missed the majority of the past two seasons after being hampered by injuries and has attracted interest from Newcastle, Stoke and West Ham.

As manager Jurgen Klopp will not want to lose both of his back-up strikers, this could mean that he will not let Sturridge leave the club.

Sturridge is desperate for more game time during the second half of the season as he looks to make the England squad for the World Cup and the Spanish duo of Valencia and Real Betis have expressed an interest in signing him in January.
