As per BetVictor, Everton have emerged most favorites in the race for the signature of Atletico Madrid striker Kevin Gameiro in the January transfer window.
The France international is also been targeted by the likes of Newcastle, West Ham and Tottenham, but the bookies reckon his next stop is likely to be Goodison Park.
Gameiro has found regular playing time hard to come by this term, and the return of Diego Costa to the squad in January will only make things more difficult.
The 30-year-old is hoping to make the France squad to next year’s World Cup, and he won’t hesitate to move next month if another top side can give him assurances of frequent football.
Everton are keen on the £20million-rated Gameiro, and given his impressive return of 76 La Liga goals in 209 games for Sevilla and Atletico Madrid, he could prove to be the perfect striking addition they badly need.
The Toffees are looking to finish in the Europa League qualifying spot this term after a slow start to the campaign, and could do with a finisher in the mould of the Frenchman to realize their dreams.
