Everton attacker slammed by his manager

Everton loanee Henry Onyekuru has been slammed by Anderlecht coach Hein Vanhaezebrouck.

Onyekuru joined Everton during the summer transfer window from Eupen for a fee of £7 million but was sent out on loan to Belgian giants Anderlecht for this season in order to gain more first team experience and confidence at the highest level.

The 20-year old has been one of his club’s best players as he has gone on to score nine goals from 25 appearances but this has not prevented him from receiving criticism from his boss.

“It does not make much sense to put Onyekuru at the centre, but when he is standing there, he does not move, and he just moves to the left… he always lets himself down,” Vanhaezebrouck was quoted as saying by voetbalkrant.com.

Onyekuru has been capped twice by the Nigerian national team and has yet to receive a work permit to play in the UK.
