As per Liverpool Echo, Everton’s £5.2million summer signing Sandro Ramirez could be on his way back to Malaga next month after failing to hit the ground running at the Goodison Park.
The 22-year-old striker was recruited to help soften the blow of losing Romelu Lukaku to Manchester United, but he has so far failed to impress, scoring just once in 13 games across all competitions.
Ramirez, who notched 16 La Liga goals last term, has failed to make the matchday squads of recent, and Malaga manager Michel Gonzalez has confirmed he’s open to a return as they are willing to sign him.
He recently revealed: “I’m hopeful. Players play where they want, and I think Sandro wants to come and play for Malaga again.
“From there, everything is subjective and depends on certain situations and negotiations.”
Dominic Calvert-Lewin and Oumar Niasse are both firmly ahead of Ramirez in the selection order, and it’s understood that another number 9 will be recruited in January as manager Sam Allardyce attempts to guide the Toffees to a strong finish.
The Spain youth international could do with a return to a familiar environment, and it’s likely Everton agree to a loan move as opposed to a permanent exit.
