Real Madrid and Spanish national team football legend Iker Casillas is linked with a January move to Premier League strugglers Newcastle.
Casillas has fallen down the pecking order at FC Porto having not played for the club since October and could be looking to have a crack at the Premier League before retiring.
Porto are unlikely to stand in Casillas way and could be keen to let him go due to his huge wages as they look to comply with FIFA Financial Fair Play regulations.
The 36-year-old has reportedly informed his agent that he wants to move to the Premier League in order to test the Leagues physicality.
Casillas could be a good signing for the Magpies especially as both Karl Darlow and Rob Eliott have so far failed to convince with their performances in goal this season.
Rafa Benitez has also previously worked with Casillas and this could give Newcastle an advantage.
