Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp has revealed that nobody has told him that Philippe Coutinho will be leaving the club to join Barcelona during the January transfer window.
“I have no reason to think about it,” Klopp said.
“We never spoke about transfers. Whatever I could say would not stop your questions, so I think I just don’t answer it.”
The Brazilians future is the subject of speculation and Klopp was quizzed about this ahead of his clubs Merseyside derby against Everton this weekend.
Coutinho has become arguably one of the best playmakers in World football and bagged a hat rick for Liverpool during the week as they defeated Spartak Moscow 7 -0.
After the game Coutinho admitted that he does not know where his future lay and as he went to the extent of handing in a transfer request to try to force a move to Barcelona during the summer, there is a good chance that he still wants to leave the club.
