Sam Allardyce looking to bring Dutch international to Everton

Crystal Palace defender Patrick Van Aanholt has been linked with a move to Everton.

The left back appears to have fallen down the pecking order at the Eagles with Jeffrey Schlupp being preferred over him.

He has also had his battles with injury having limped off against West Ham at the end of October and has not played since.

New Everton Sam Allardyce is a fan of the 27 year old and it was he who took Van Aanholt to Palace during the January transfer window in 2017.

After moving to the Eagles from Sunderland in January, Van Aanholt helped the club avoid relegation. Everton’s ageing backline has been criticized this season as the club as so far struggled to perform.

Therefore, it is no surprise that the club has been linked with the signature of Van Aanholt now that Allardyce is in charge and it remains to be seen if they will make a move.
