Spanish football expert Guillem Balague does not believe that Liverpool will be able to sign Antoine Griezmann.
Balague said: “Griezmann is thinking of different things. Liverpool have to prove they are genuine title contenders again to be able to attract the likes of Griezmann. I don’t think Liverpool are on Griezmann’s radar at this moment in time.”
Despite the fact that Jurgen Klopp’s side possess three of the best attackers in the Premier League in Sadio Mane, Roberto Firmino and Mohamed Salah, they have been surprisingly linked with the signature of Griezmann.
Griezmann was close to moving to Anfield in 2010, however the deal broke down. Since then the France international has gone on to Atletico Madrid, where he has established himself as arguably one of the best forwards in World football.
The 25 year old had been strongly linked with a move to Manchester United during the summer. However Atleti had to change their plans due to the transfer ban that they were slapped with.
