Having struggled to adapt to Premier League football since completing a £5.2million move from Malaga in the summer, Everton striker Sandro Ramirez could be on his way back to Spain in January.
As per reports, La Liga title challengers Valencia are keen to seal a loan move for the former Barcelona man till the end of the campaign, and it’s a deal the Merseysiders should agree to.
Ramirez remains a fine finisher despite his struggles, and a temporary return to familiar surroundings could be all he needs to regain his confidence and starting firing on all cylinders again.
The 22-year-old bagged 14 La Liga goals in 30 appearances last term, an average of a goal per 2 appearances, and was even in contention for promotion to the Spanish national team due to his qualities.
Ramirez is no Romelu Lukaku, but a change in environment has clearly had its toll on him.
With Everton out of Europe, limited playing time is almost certain for the young striker under Sam Allardyce, and having him leave temporarily won’t hurt the team’s depth.
Returning to Spain could do Ramirez and Everton a lot of good, and it’s a move the club should embrace.
