Amanda Staveley makes an improved offer for Newcastle United

Amanda Staveley has made an improved bid in her attempt to acquire the ownership of Newcastle United after previously having had a bid rejected by Mike Ashley, according to Shields Gazette.

Newcastle owner Mike Ashley had put Newcastle Untied up for sale in October and is hoping to sell the club before Christmas this year.

It has been reported over the past few months that there are many suitors for the Magpies and but as some of the interested parties have signed a “non-disclosure agreement” with the club, not much has been revealed regarding a potential deal.

One of those parties keen on acquiring Newcastle United is believed to be businesswoman Amanda Staveley and it has been reported that a consortium led by her, have already had a bid rejected by Mike Ashley.

Nonetheless,, financer is not deterred by the initial rejection and according to reports from the Shields Gazette, she is going to make another bid and this time the offer is believed to be a “one-off payment under 300 million” with bonuses based on league position.
