Liverpool boost as top target refuses to rule out transfer

Liverpool target Javier Pastore has refused to rule out the possibility of leaving PSG during the January transfer window.

Pastore has fallen down the pecking order at the French giants and will likely be keen on a move away from the French capital in order to stay sharp and to boost his chances of making the Argentina squad for the 2018 World Cup.

PSG will also likely be willing to allow the player to leave considering that he appears to not be part of their plans and also because they need to comply with Fifa Financial Fair Play rules after signing Neymar and Kylian Mbappe for hefty sums during the summer.

Pastore said: “I’m disappointed about how things are going on here. I want to play important games, such as Champions League ones, or against Monaco. But it’s all up to the boss, of course.

“A winter move? There are talks like that roughly every season. And, as I’ve already said, I’ll sure give a thought to my future.

“Now I’m just focused on helping the team, and that’s what I did yesterday, during the 10 minutes I’ve been allowed to play.”
