Klopp explains why Liverpool not are giving up on the title yet

Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp has admitted that the Premier League title race this season is Manchester City’s to lose but did add that he will not give up hope.

City are at the top of the standings with 37 points from 13 games and already have a 14 point advantage over Klopp’s side.

During the weekend Spurs manager Mauricio Pochettino admitted that he feels that his side will not be able to catch City who are looking destined to win big things this season.

Klopp has however failed to follow a similar pattern and instead added that he chooses to focus on his own teams form.

“We are close enough to see it (the title race),” said the German.”They won (against Huddersfield) and as long as they win no-one else has a chance. If they stop winning and our team is then in a good moment then it is possible you can still get them.

“We want to have the next three (points) and then the next three and then the next three because if anyone struggles we need to be there.

“But for us at the moment they (City) are too far above us and if they keep on going like this no-one has a chance and it is already decided.”
