Liverpool manager Klopp explains why he is angry after Chelsea draw

Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp has claimed that referee Michael Oliver did not allow him to make a substitution during prior to Chelsea scoring an equalizer during his team’s 1-1 draw against the Blues on Saturday.

The Reds had looked on course for a victory after in-form forward Mohamed Salah managed to put them up front after 65 minutes. Willian however managed to rescue a point for his side as he scored during the 85th minute of the game.

A disappointed Klopp has now claimed that he had wanted to introduce Adam Lallana onto the field in order to protect his teams lead before Willian had equalized.

The German told BT Sport: “I was angry because we wanted to change the system but the ref didn’t give us the opportunity. I don’t know what he thought in this moment, he told me something about taking too long, I don’t understand it.

“How can we take too long? We didn’t want to time waste, we wanted to change the system and that’s why I was angry.”
