Liverpool legend Jamie Carragher has predicted that Arsenal are a bigger rivals than their North London rivals Tottenham but did add that he feels that Spurs will finish above the Gunners in the Premier League this season.
Though Arsenal have been the dominant team throughout history, Spurs have had the better recent form.
Last season also marked the first time in the modern era that Spurs finished above their North London counterparts in the League as they finished off in second position while Arsenal finished in a disappointing fifth.
Arsenal did however manage to record a morale boosting victory over their counterparts in the North London derby last weekend.
“Tottenham I think just have the edge on them,” the pundit said on Monday Night Football.
“I think they will finish above them this season. Power shift? No. I think it has to be five or six years where you finish above your rivals.
“A big player, if they had the option between Spurs or Arsenal in the summer, I still think a big foreign player would choose Arsenal.”
