Everton handed boost in hopes of landing top managerial target

Watford boss Marco Silva has refused to commit his future to the Hornets which raises speculation that he could be keen on the Everton managerial vacancy.

Silva has been one of the managers that the Toffees have been targeting to become their new manager after they parted ways with Ronald Koeman.

The Portuguese boss has been praised for making the Hornets play an impressive brand of football during the early parts of this season.

Watford do not wish to lose their manager at this point in time and have already rejected compensation offers of £8 million and £10 million from Everton.

Silva has however not committed himself to the club and said: “This is the moment for the owners to talk to each other about the situation. Will this be my last match in charge? I really don’t know.”

It seems as though he sees the Hornets as a stepping stone in order to win jobs with bigger clubs.
