Recent reports from the Daily Mail suggest that Barcelona midfielder Ivan Rakitic might consider quitting Barcelona if the Blaugrana sign Philippe Coutinho from Liverpool.
Barcelona have been pursuing Coutinho since the beginning of the season and despite being rejected multiple times, the Catalan giants have not been deterred in their chase.
This has led many to believe that Barcelona will complete the signing of the Brazilian international and the Spanish side generally do manage to land the services of whoever they target.
While everyone associated with Barcelona were believed to be excited by the prospect of having Coutinho in the squad, it has been now been reported by the Daily Mail that some of the players are actually unhappy about this pursuit.
One of those players is believed to be Croatian midfielder Ivan Rakitic, who might have to lose his place in the Barcelona squad in order to make space for the flamboyant Coutinho if he arrives.
It is believed that Rakitic has expressed his desire to not forsake his first team position to the Brazilian attacker and if asked to do so, he might seek a move away from Barcelona.
