Everton handed huge boost in hopes of appointing high-profile manager

Former Chelsea and PSG boss Carlo Ancelotti is reportedly open to a Premier League return.

Ancelotti has been without a job since he was sacked by Bayern Munich earlier on during the season following their Champions League defeat against PSG. He has been linked with the vacant Everton managerial position.

The Toffees have been without a manager since they parted ways with Ronald Koeman last month following their Premier League defeat against Arsenal and Ancelotti is said to have been one of the managers that they are considering.

It has been reported that the 58-year-old now wants to think carefully about his next move. Another job which could be appealing to the Italian manager is the Italian national team managerial position.

Italy failed to qualify for the 2018 World Cup and are likely to start a rebuilding process in order to build a side that can return them to their glory days.
