Ian Rush has urged Liverpool to sign Gareth Bale. Bale has slipped down the pecking order at Madrid this season and has so far only managed nine appearances in all competitions.
With Madrid currently on a poor run of form by their standards, the Wales international will likely be one of the stars that the club will be willing to sacrifice as they look to recruit new stars.
Given the talent that he possesses and his reputation for scoring and creating goals, there will surely be many teams that will be vying for his signature should he be made available.
Rush has now encouraged the Reds to sign the 28 year old and said: “Gareth Bale is a world class player – every club in the world would want him.
“From a Welsh point of view, I’d like him to stay, to get more European experience. That will benefit Wales. Any English club would want Gareth Bale. Maybe Tottenham have first offer [to bring Bale back to the Premier League].
“Man United has been talked about, maybe because the goalkeeper [David De Gea] could go the other way? I’d love to see him at Liverpool though. A world class player.”
