Liverpool boss Klopp makes worrying admission about key player

Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp has admitted that his club could end up losing midfielder Emre Can during the near future.

The German’s contract with the Reds is set to expire at the end of the season and he has yet to sign a new deal which has led to speculation that he could be set to leave.

Can will be free to speak to other clubs in January.  Should Can wish to leave Anfield, he will certainly not be short of offers with Italian giants Juventus as well as current Premier League leaders Manchester City rumored to be interested in him.

Liverpool fans will naturally want Can to remain at the club as he is one of the star performers of the team, however it currently looks like he will be leaving.

When asked if the player could strike a deal with another club in January, Klopp replied saying: “That is part of football. If it happens like this we can’t change it.

“If a player (belonging to another club) is ending his contract next summer and he is good then we should try to do the same so that is an opportunity for all of us.”
