According to a report published by TalkSport, Newcastle, Everton and Tottenham Hotspur have been informed that they will have to fork out £15 million if they wish to sign Besiktas forward Cenk Tosun.
The 26-year-old impressed last season by scoring 20 goals from 33 games in the Turkish Super Lig. He has also continued to be magnificent this season and has so far scored nine goals from 14 games.
While speaking about the transfer speculation regarding Tosun, Besiktas club president Fikret Orman replied saying: “There’s no figure for him. These players are like my children – I have an interest in their careers.
“They aren’t machines. (Kylian) Mbappe went to Paris Saint-Germain for €180m, (Naby) Keita for €70 or €80m, so placing a higher value than €20m on Tosun is not crazy.”
The Magpies and Tottenham have more than enough options up front so they may not make moves. On the other hand, Crystal Palace and Everton could well attempt to sign the Turkish international in January considering that they are struggling this season so far and have been especially poor in front of goal.
