PSG boss hands stern warning to Celtic

Celtic vs Hearts

PSG boss Unai Emery has issued a stern warning to Scottish giants Celtic by claiming that his side will not relax despite already having secured their place in the last 16 of the Champions League.

PSG convincingly outclassed Anderlecht 5-0 on Tuesday to maintain their 100% win record in Group B of the Champions League.

Layvin Kurzawa also made history during the game by becoming the first defender to have scored a hat-trick in the history of the Champions League.

PSG, who are in lethal form, are next in action in the Champions League against Celtic on November 22 and will be expected to register another win and ensure that they finish as group winners ahead of Bayern Munich.

Emery said: “We are satisfied. We qualified, which was the most important thing, but the goal in this group is to finish first and we still have work against Celtic at home and against Bayern.

“We claimed the three points and it was important to perform well. I thought we were excellent for the full 90 minutes. In the first game against Anderlecht we gave them too much space and conceded too many chances – this time we gave them nothing.

“They only had two or three half chances and that’s what we keep working for, to keep improving as a team. We will not stop that.”
